Getting a Concept Explained Simply
If something from class isn't clicking, AI can explain it a different way — simpler, with examples from your own life, and at exactly your level. You can keep asking follow-up questions until it actually makes sense, without any pressure.
Recommended Platforms
Both ChatGPT and Claude are excellent at breaking down concepts clearly. ChatGPT tends to be more conversational and quick; Claude gives slightly more thorough explanations when topics are complex.
How to Use It
- 1.Tell it your grade level and what you already understand — this stops it from over-explaining things you already know.
- 2.Ask it to use an example from your everyday life or an interest you have.
- 3.If the first explanation still doesn't click, say "explain it a completely different way" — don't just re-read the same thing.
Example Prompt
Explain [concept] to me as if I'm a [grade] student who already understands [what you know] but is confused about [specific part]. Use a real-world example I can relate to — I'm interested in [your interest]. After you explain it, ask me a question to check if I understood.
