Ask About Helicon

Our Mission

Helicon is an Institute ensuring that our systems of education are focused in their intetion: nurturing students who will lead the world towards mutual flourishing. We persue this by partenering with schools to design academic infrastructure, conducting research, and providing information, resources, and tools. Our mission is two-fold.

Student learning with technology
  1. All students, reagrdless of socio-economic background, should have access to the advancing technology which allows for more rapid mastery of skills and information.

  2. Students must be taught how to use their capacities to imagine the kind of world they want to live in and to build it through community engagements and human-centered skill development.

Teachers

Education is in a critical period of change. We are entering an era where optimized teaching is automated at the individual student level. The obvious question is: what will happen to the teachers? This is what we must decide. We believe that teachers are irreplacable precisely because the purpose of education is human, and humanity cannot be taught by a machine. Educators will play a much more important role than academic development. They will be the role models that demonstrate empathy, compassion, collaboration, community, problem-solving, and importantly, agency.

We work with institutions who believe in this future. Our schools are not factories and our students are not products. We are raising leaders who will build a better world driven by the traits that make us proud to be human.

Who we are

We founded Helicon institute to realize a dream that is shared among all educators. We want the next generation to build a better world than ours. Each of the institutes four founders have spent their life building towards this vision.
